The 2025 Salvation Army of Tacoma Online Auction
benefits our Old Navy Back-to-School Shopping Spree

Each year in August, The Salvation Army of Tacoma provides back-to-school clothing for area kid in need, including
our kids from Kindergarten to 12th grade staying in our family shelter, Jarvie Memorial Family Lodge. We follow our shopping spree with a fun party for the kids that includes snacks, games, and the presentation of their new clothing.
We also provide new backpacks and limited school supplies.

This year, we will be serving 60 kids in the Greater Tacoma area with $200 worth of comfortable, well-fitting
school clothing to start their new year of learning.

Well--fitting clothing is a crucial part of the learning process because:

1. Kids in need who have ill-fitting clothing are often not comfortable enough to relax and learn.
2. They sometimes stand out and become targets for unwanted attention when their clothes are worn out, too tight, or even too large.
3. Starting the school year with new clothing is a self-esteem builder.

You can help us provide for our kids this year in the following ways:

1. Bid and bid often during our online auction. Auction starts on Bidding Owl at 9am on Monday, July 21st and ends at 6pm on Sunday, July 27th.
2. Share this auction link with your friends, family, coworkers, churches and service groups.
3. Designate a gift amount  of your choice by contacting Stacy Blaisdell through email or by calling 253-572-8452 ext. 104.
4. Donate new items, tickets, or experiences for auction. These are our Procurement Letter and Donor Form
5. Share our SAVE the Date Flyer with friends, family, churches, schools, and other groups who might want to help by donating or bidding.
